Vaccinated people who have had a negative test taken no more than 3 days before travelling can enter the US without quarantining.
Another test, 3 to 5 days after arriving in the US, is recommended.
Vaccine certificates are accepted.
Children under 18 do not need to be vaccinated, but should also take a test after arriving.

Before You Travel to the United States
Testing
REQUIRED
Before boarding a flight to the United States, you are required to show one of the following:
If you are fully vaccinated: Proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 3 days before travel.
If you are NOT fully vaccinated and meet the criteria for an exception for the requirement for proof of COVID-19 vaccination: A negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel.
Children under 2 years old do not need to test. There is also an option for people who have documented recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
After Arrival in the United States
If you are not fully vaccinated and allowed to travel to the United States by air through an exception
REQUIRED
Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after arrival, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
Stay at home or in your hotel room and self-quarantine for a full 7 days, even if you test negative, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
Isolate if your test result is positive or you develop COVID-19 symptoms.
If you intend to stay in the United States for 60 days or longer, you must become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 60 days of arriving in the United States or as soon as medically appropriate, unless you have a medical contraindication or are too young to be vaccinated.
For ALL Travelers
RECOMMENDED
Get tested with a COVID-19 viral test 3-5 days after travel.
Find a U.S. COVID-19 testing location near youexternal icon.
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms.
Follow all state and local recommendations or requirements after travel.
If You Recovered from COVID-19 Recently
If you recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the past 90 days (regardless of vaccination status), you do NOT need to get a test 3-5 days after travel. People can continue to test positive for up to 90 days after diagnosis and not be infectious to others. You also do not need to self-quarantine after travel. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms after travel, isolate and consult with a healthcare provider for testing recommendations.

Viral tests are used to look for current infection
A viral test checks specimens from your nose or your mouth to find out if you are currently infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. Viral tests can be performed in a laboratory, at a testing site, or at home or anywhere else.
Two types of viral tests are used: nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) and antigen tests.

How to get a viral test
Visit your state (
https://www.cdc.gov/publichealthgateway ... ments.html), tribal (
https://www.cdc.gov/tribal/tribes-organ ... roups.html), local (
https://www.naccho.org/membership/lhd-directory), or territorial (
https://www.cdc.gov/publichealthgateway ... ments.html) health department’s website to look for the latest local information on testing.
Visit your healthcare or public health department clinic provider to get a self-collection kit or self-test.
You and your healthcare provider might consider either self-collection kit (
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... sting.html) or a self-test (
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... sting.html) if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and can’t get tested by a healthcare provider.
